The Organising Committee, as the name suggests, is responsible for organising a smooth and fun EGMO2020. Fortunately, we don’t need to do this all by ourselves. We are assisted by approximately thirty other enthusiastic volunteers, distributed over a dozen other committees. Each of these committees is in charge of a specific part of the EGMO: for example, there is a committee that organises the excursions, and a committee responsible for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. You’ll meet all these committees in this series over the coming months.
As the Organising Committee, we carry out the overarching tasks in organising the EGMO. In the previous two years, for example, we selected the hotel in Egmond on Sea where the EGMO will take place, we wrote a preliminary programme and we made a budget estimate. Over the coming months, among other things, we will set the precise times in the programme and process the registrations of all the participants. We also keep an overview of what all committees are doing and planning to do, making sure that next April, everything and everyone is ready for a great EGMO2020!
